Vessel Auditors Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in Vessel Audit/Inspection with Vessel Operators Ltd. Your engagement by Vessel Operators Ltd for the role of Vessel Auditor is subject to your acceptance of the Vessel Auditors Terms and Conditions as outlined below.

Auditor Qualification

  1. All auditors applying to undertake vessel audit/inspection should possess the requisite qualification to conduct ISM/ISPS/MLC audit from reputable institutions.
  2. Auditors without applicable qualifications shall be disqualified
  3. Auditors who present forged certificates shall be banned and denied payment for completed audits.

Conduct of Audit

  1. Auditors undertake to conduct each audit with due diligence and outmost professionalism
  2. Auditors must arrive as early as 8 a.m. local time to conduct vessel audit/inspection at the specified location and on applicable ship or vessel
  3. Auditors must carry out a thorough and painstaking audit to the best of their knowledge and that reflects the true situation of the vessel without imputing figures.
  4. Auditors must submit all audit forms to the master of the ship for authentication and must write a compelling report that reflect their findings Such reports must not be influenced by any person, event or circumstances.
  5. All audits must be properly signed and endorsed by the ship master.
  6. All completed audit forms and reports must be submitted to Vessels Operators Ltd for authentication and final transfer to ship owner.

Payment for completed audits

  1. Payment for completed audits are only processed after submission of final audit report and corresponding report to Vessel Operators Ltd for verification, emailed to info@vesseloperators.com
  2. Payments will not be endorsed for all non endorsed audit.
  3. Payments are in lump sum per audit and not for number of days taken by auditors to complete tasks.
  4. Payments may take up to 30 days to appear in your account after your audit report is first verified by Vessel Operators Ltd and later by the ship owner. Payments may take shorter duration or periods depending on a number of factors including verification and authentication of your audit report, country of residence and other prevailing financial regulations.
  5. Auditors are paid in USD deposited by Swift transfer into account details supplied by auditors.

Auditors Code of Conduct

  1. Auditors are not allowed to use or apply your personal or business insignia such as stamps, logos, symbols or trademarks and may not input their phone number, emails, and other personal or business identifiable information on audit forms, templates or reports.
  2. Auditors are not allowed to engage in out-of-task or other out-of-audit correspondence with the master or other crews for the purpose of contact, communication or conducting other business in the future other than the assigned task.
  3. Auditors may not delay or elongate audits for the purpose of personal advantage in order to file for additional payment.

Violations

All violations of the above provisions shall be met with applicable sanctions such as termination of engagement or service and withdrawal or forfeiture of payments. Auditors agree to forfeit their payments and other entitlements if they are deemed to have violated the provisions laid out in this terms and conditions.

Indemnity

Auditors agree to indemnify Vessel Operators Ltd and her agents against loss or damage resulting from their conduct of available audits.
